NNJLS’ Employment Opportunity Project provides legal representation and advice to residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties who are seeking to remove legal barriers to employment. NNJLS can help clients remove barriers to employment with the following legal services:
• Expungments of eligible criminal convictions and arrest records
• Correcting errors in criminal records
• Obtaining, keeping, and restoring driver’s licenses
• Obtaining, keeping, and reinstating occupational licenses
• Correcting errors in credit reports
• Restoring good credit
NNJLS provides legal representation to individuals with these issues, and also offers legal clinics to teach individuals how to represent themselves regarding many of these issues.
