Attorney Volunteers
Did you know there are 250,000 children, seniors and adults living in poverty throughout Passaic, Bergen, and Hudson counties in New Jersey? Due to limited funding and resources, these low-income residents do not always receive the legal assistance they need and deserve. Help us meet our mission of providing civil legal representation to low-income residents of Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic counties by volunteering with our Private Attorney Involvement Program (PAI). There are many benefits to joining PAI including:
• Knowing your generosity, expertise, and energy will be used to provide legal assistance to low-income residents who may otherwise go unrepresented.
• An exemption from New Jersey’s annual mandatory municipal court assignments if you provide us with 25 hours of free legal services.
• Exclusive invitations to low-cost trainings provided by Legal Services of New Jersey which can be used to meet New Jersey’s mandatory CLE requirements.
• Networking opportunities with other PAI attorneys
